    Thank You Boxerworld!

Thank you so much for archiving user profiles and posts. I joined this amazing site back in July of 2000 when we got our puppy, Lennox. This board is a wealth of information and helped immensely in raising Lennox. Needless to say, with life experiences, smartphones, Facebook, Lennox not needing...

what to do when boxers "talk back"

9 month update Well Lennox has proven to be very obedient. WE stopped going to classes after intermediate. Not interested in showing her. This Dog is excellent when it comes to obedience. Like Dan said she is playing when she barks back at you. THe easiest thing to do is ignore her or...

Limping and not walking on right paw

Sorry to hear things are not going well cynhia and Bowzer. That is a sad story as well. It has to be pretty painful for a boxer to actually show pain. Lennox was never diagnosed with OCD and the X-rays thankfully showed nothing to worry about. It will forever remain a mystery. I wish I...

Limping and not walking on right paw

Thank you Laura for the sad story in regards to Dixie. Happy to say that the limping has totally disappeared. We completely stopped the ascriptin after about a week and the hardest thing was trying to keep her on "bedrest". Again Thank you for the story. And hopefully your other 2 boxers...

    Fascinated by shadows & light!!???

The best excercise tool ever is the flashlight or laserpointer. Lennox "chases the light" until she is exhausted! If I had the skill I would post a poll on this, however I am not familiar enough with the board's technology. That is hilarious that a boxer is terrified of the light. The light...

Limping and not walking on right paw

update- It has essentially disappeared with the use of ascriptin 325 mg. initially, 2 pills morning and night, than one pill (after about 4 days) and now no pills. I am not sure if it has been the time that has passed or the ascriptin. I would try the ascriptin for a week, and then if no...

Natural ears that bleed and scab at tips

Thanks for all the excellent information, I forgot how useful this board is! I wiill be calling my vet to get some of the shampoo. And Lennox was born with a big "zit" by her nose. And I can attest that Neosporin works like a charm. Thanks again!

    demodectic mange

Lennox had a brief stint with mange. but only needed 2 dips to cure the problem. However, Lennox did not get the dips until being on IVOMEC and "vitammune" I believe this tretment before hand helped aid her immune system and then the Mitabin(SP?) Dips helped kick it. Actually, a scrape after...

Limping and not walking on right paw

My bad it is the right FRONT paw. and usually occurs when she initially gets up from lying down. Hence, my paw falling asleep theory. But right now she is walking around without a limp at all. It comes and goes.

Natural ears that bleed and scab at tips

Excellent- Basically, we feed her Proplan Lamb and rice. So as far as cutting anything out of her diet, it would not help. I guess I was looking for reassurance that this was not the only isolated Boxer with this problem. I have noticed it especially since the dry Winter months. And...

Natural ears that bleed and scab at tips

Since I am online, Does anyone have any solution or problem with scabs forming at the tips of natural ears? I mentioned this to the vet and she stated that Boxers are prone to this and to keep them moisturized. Does anyone have a home remedy for this problem or do I have to pay for a...
