    Anyone do schutzhund?

Wow! It is exciting to hear from other people who are or going to do schutzhund. We still haven't found out about a club close to us, but at least we can begin tracking and the basic obedience training. I can't wait to find out if my 5 year, Mazie, will still learn how to track. What about...

    Intro - england uk

Hi Jo, Welcome to Boxerworld. My first 2 girls were also rescues, but they hadn't been treated as badly as your poor Maci! Bless you for taking the time and energy to save her, and put up with boxer naughtiness! :) Her name is throwing me off, I want to spell it wrong because one of my...

    Hello from Oklahoma

Hi, Bruno does sound like a huge boy! My pup, Helga, is just under 4 1/2 months old, and she is 30 pounds. Her mom is about 60, but her dad is around 85-90 pounds. Hope you enjoy the site. Oklahoma is beautiful. I got to visit about 3 years ago.

    Hello from KY

Welcome! What kind of pee problem does your dog have? On purpose housebreaking issues or a medical issue? They are great dogs! I currently have 2, but would have more if I had a house! OUr apartment complex has a 2 dog limit. :( Don't worry, my girls get a ton of exercise, they actually...

    Anyone do schutzhund?

Thanks for the info, it was very helpful. Our pup is almost 4 1/2 months old. Her mom is almost 5, but I've been "fighting" with her over toys and wrestling dince she was 8 weeks. She comes over to start wrestling matches with me! A little rusty on the heeling, but that should come back...

    Anyone do schutzhund?

What type of training techniques have you used? Have you noticed that it makes a difference in the boxers if you get one from "conformation lines" or "working lines"? I've read it where even with the other breeds used they are saying the two lines don't cross the divide well. I was thinking...

    Hello Fellow Boxer Lovers!

Thanks to all! Hi, thanks to everyone for welcoming me! I can't wait to spend more time on Boxer world, but I find myself having to limit my time or I don't get anything else done! :) To Apollo's family, 2 boxers are even funner than 1, but make sure you have Apollo into a pretty good...

    Anyone do schutzhund?

Has anyone done schutzhund with their boxers? I would like to do it with mine, but I some of the training aspects I heard i didn't like (constant crating, low feed, etc). Has anyone found a different method of training schutzhund? I saw by the date that this seemed to be an old topic, I hope...

    Swimming.......

swimming I think a lot of it depends on the individual dog. My 5 year old loves water, but doesn't want to go past touching the bottom. Her 2 1/2 year old daughter goes on vacation to Mexico with her owners and is out in the ocean swimming to the snorkelers!

    Hello from AZ!

house destroyer Don't give up on your boxer. My first 2 boxers were rescues who were about to go to the pound. They had the same problem. I got them at different times, but they were both around the same age, 11 months. They were eating the houses and yards of their owners. The biggest...
