Is anyone else having this problem??

I don't have skin kids but I SWEAR dogs can be WORSE!!! I don't have a tree this year because we're moving but in the years past, we've had issues. We'd start with a beautifully decorated tree and then slowly it would become bare. Where would the decorations go? Hmmm, I guess Santa really...

Suggestions? Puppy won't stay off one year old

When Neala was a pup, she LOVED little kids. Any person or thing that was smaller than we were she would jump all over! She would try to lick their faces and play to the point that it went from fun and games to OK you're scaring me. I don't have skinbabies at all so I took her to the pet...

Very small female - with a huge heart :)

Neala is a little baby too. She's around 50-55 pounds. I always joke that if I were a dog, I'd love to have her body! She's got a big bust and tiny waist. It's funny, if you get what I mean! I also like her size. She's small enough to sleep on the bed but not too big to pick up. :)

Baby Ellie has been admitted overnight

Throwing Up I just read this post and just posted one myself about throwing up. My Neala has been doing that for 4 days now. She had blood drawn and it came back with positive enzymes indicating Pancreatitis. I have been messing with her food too, switching from Canidae to raw. Since she's...

    Poor little Neala

The past 4 days my baby Neala has puked up her meals. I took her to the vet yesterday to have blood drawn and get her checked out. The blood results came back and she has Pancreatitis! How does this happen? During it all, she's lost 3 pounds going from 56 to 53. (She's a mini). She's...

    play fighting ?

I've found that it helps to play with a toy when playing with a Boxer, or any dog for that matter. Play fighting with you makes them think that it's OK to play like that with everyone and/or dog them come in contact with. That can be a problem. I agree with the fact that they do get very...

    Crazy behaivors

Neala does this funny thing with the lawn hose that I just have to tape and send into Funniest Videos. She starts by licking it and then slowly starts chomping. Pretty soon she's getting her whole head in the stream while chomping and trying to follow the stream as it comes out of the hose...

Did you know that brooms eat Boxers???

Big bad broom I am sooo glad to hear that other Boxers chase the brooms like Neala does! Even when we're outside and have the big broom, she growls and bites it. If I let go, she'll run away with it bounching behind her. It really is funny.

    Weird wart-like bump on muzzle

Smooth Lump on Muzzle Neala had one of those on her side. It was about pea size, pink flesh color, and slightly raised. It didn't bleed or scab over or look like anything except an area that had the hair removed. We had 1 vet tell us that it could be a benign skin tumor that young dogs get...

    New to Site!

I just found this site a couple days ago and love it! I have a 2 1/2 year old female white Boxer who has full hearing. Our vets and trainers are always surprised at how healthy she's been considering most whites have some issues. I love her little face. She is sooo cute! I have 2 other dogs...

    does the mouthing ever stop?

Biting Neala used to be mouthy too. Whenever she would bit one of us, we would tell her "no bite" and then quickly give her a toy. When she took the toy we would praise her and tell her what a good girl she was. She understood after a while that she should only chew on her toys. Notice how...

    Strange Skin Problem?

Staph Infections I HATE hot spots! My lab gets them often. The only thing we can do for her is bath her and keep her coat clean. Have you tried fish oil supplements? If you do, make sure to get the good kind with anchovie, mackeral, sardine. It makes their skin healthier and coat shiny...

    No bedding... Still peeing

Still peeing I agree about the making the crate smaller thing. It should only be big enough for your baby to turn around and lay down in. Usually they won't want to pee where they lay. Also as a general rule of thumb, puppies can hold their pee an hour for every month old they are. For...
