Well, I think its a myth with Boxers I have 2 fawn Boxers, my Susie has a very high prey drive & can't be trusted, but Cletus is very laid back.appicon

Sorry, I don't see this as a horrible end to a good walk. I would be happy & let her play with them, its obvious the way you described her behavior she was happy to see them. It could always be worse, let her have a little fun.

Sounds like an allergy, which is common in Boxers. My Susie girl is like that too. A bath will usually take care of rash.
