    OHIO Boxer Bash

It was fun, good weather, friendly owners and dogs. I would guess about 35-50 Boxers there for most of the day. We were there from 12:30 to 4:00 or so. I definitely plan on going again next year.

I'll have my reverse brindle Cooper and my natural tailed fawn, Camden. See you guys there.

    OHIO Boxer Bash

We plan on being there as it is about 20 minutes from our house. I will definitely have Cooper, our reverse brindle. Our rescue Camden has a bit of leash agression, so I'm going to see how he works out until then.

    Home visit scheduled for Thursday.

Well, I didn't have the original visit on Thursday because we are fostering to adopt from a different agency. This one came on kind of quick, so it was short and sweet. Basically, from what I was told, is that they were making sure that your home was clean and that you didn't have numerous...

    renting with a boxer

We were lucky. Our last 3 months at our apartment were the first 3 months we had Cooper. I dropped in one day to okay it with the manager. Their policy was an additional $30/month for dogs over 40 lbs. She waived the fee because she had a Boxer growing up and "knew how good they were". She...

    Questionable fact.

Cooper had a murmur up until he was 14 months. The last visit to the vet he said he couldn't hear it anymore.

    2 Boxer madness.

Well, they are still going at it every waking moment. They slept well last night together, in their own beds. The problem is that Cooper STILL will not quit pestering Camden. Cam tries to lay down and Cooper keeps going for the ears. Camden will growl a bit, but nothing serious. They are...

    2 Boxer madness.

Thanks for the replies! Yes, they are both males. As of now, they have REALLY calmed down and are actually sleeping. Camden layed down and Cooper layed with this paw touching Camden's. Maybe that means truce. They can actually go into other rooms without eachother right now. Not too bad...

    2 Boxer madness.

What a long day this has been. We are fostering to adopt a 1.5-2.0 year old male named Camden. We got him yesterday about 4:00 and he has been the sweetest thing. Needs work on housetraining, but doing well so far. My problem is with my 14 month old Cooper. Cooper WILL NOT stop pestering...

    Home visit scheduled for Thursday.

Well, the local rescue called(Greater Ohio Boxer Rescue), and they are coming by Thursday the 1st to check us out. They've called our references and vet, so I assume everything has gone well. I asked her what to expect, and she basically said just observations and getting to know us...

Feeding 2 Boxers. Free vs schedule.

I see your guys points about the free feeding. Trust me though, I can tell you exactly what Cooper has eaten at any given point. He wasn't eating right for a month when he was like 6 months and I was overly worried. That's when we started free feeding. I think we'll be getting another one...

Feeding 2 Boxers. Free vs schedule.

As I have posted, I think we may be getting a second boy in the next week or two. I have asked a ton of info from the shelter, and we are going to meet him this weekend. Right now, we just fill Cooper, our present Boxer's bowl with the 2 cups and he eats it throuhout the day, most of it...

    Dog Beds-Too Many Choices!!!

We could have probably gone less expensive with Cooper's bed. The breeder told us that his mom had slept on a cedar chipped bed and she swelled up one night. They took her to the vet and removed the bed. She has been fine ever since. So, just to play it safe, we bought a foam one for...

    Second Boxer opinions.

Well, I emailed the local all animal rescue. They have a purebred 14 month old boy which was semi-neglected. He was not abused per se, but the previous owners did not take him to the vet when he had some ear infections. His eardrums ruptured, and they decided they couldn't care for him...
