Our vet did a blood screen before the surgery to determine if the meds she was prescribing were ok. But since you mentioned this I did some quick research on this drug. I found that we should request frequent monitoring of his blood for this and other NSAIDS. Thanks for the heads...

Home and resting
We got him home and in his crate and he is resting well now. The vet said he did a great job and thinks he will heal pretty quickly. We have to keep him crated for about a month with short trips outside. Feeding starts back normally tonight. (Which I know he is ready for!)...

Procedure Done!
The vet called and said he is awake and doing well. Possibility of him coming home tonight, if not first thing in the morning. We are relieved that it's done!
