YTD Vet Bill

When I picked up Flash from his dental a few days ago they gave me an extra paper. It has what it said was my year to date vet bill accumulation. It was impossibly high, over $14,000. That cannot be right. No way. I asked if that was my lifetime accumulation. They said no. For the life of me, I can't figure out how I spent so much there in one year. Even if it is a lifetime total, it seems wrong because I have been going there for 12 years now and both of my Rotties had cancer. :( So if it is lifetime, it should definetely be higher. Whatever it is, I probably do not want to know

:eek: I'd be wondering too! :eek: oh my goodness! Did they give you itemized bills that you could have someone look into? I know mine have been to the vets quite a bit this year between the two of them... and for non-routine things as well.... and we haven't hit over $2,000 for the whole year! Does anyone else feel I'm wrong in saying $14,000 is a bit excessive?! :eek: I'm not saying our babies aren't worth every penny... I just think you may be overcharged quite a bit!

Unless you had some major surguries and/or treatment for illness (chemo or something like that), the total sounds really high. I wonder if it is a computer glitch? If so,they'd probably like to know about it.
