Yes Spirit..There Really Is A Santa Claus!!

This morning my 4yr old daughter was up early...6:10am!! She is very excited today because today is our local Santa Claus Parade! So I hear her in her room talking to herself, not uncommon for a 4yr old. She LOVES books and although she cannot read yet, she makes up the stories by looking at the pictures...very cute! So I am listening at the door and I hear her saying "Spirit, we have to be very good cuz Santa is coming to town today and he will be watching us. We are going to the parade so you have to walk nice and sit when mommy tells you to. No barking ok Spirit? You'll scare Santa and his reindeers. And Spirit, don't poo at the parade ok...Santa doesn't want to smell that or step in it"!! Then she proceeded to read him 101 Dalmations! I opened the door slightly and saw them laying on her bed...her reading the story and Spirit with his head laying on her chest soaking it all up!! Geesh...it just melted my heart! It was an early morning, but it was a GREAT way to wake up!! I just had to share this! :D

That is such a sweet little story! Too bad you didn't have a video camera on hand (like you carry one around at all times :rolleyes - that would have made for a really cute memory! I love Christmas time and this story reminded me of something that would be in a Christmas movie, kinda brings a tear to my eye!
