Yeast allergy

evening all,

After a very long time and a much lighter bank balance!!, we have just found out that willow has a sever allergy to Yeast. Apparently it is in her gut, the Vets suggested medication but we are trying to look at other options first, any body had any experience in this area? We wash her twice a week with malasab shampoo and it's helping a little with the itching, just wondered if anybody had any info on this area.

My 17 month old Oscar is also allergic to yeast. It was quite hard to find out. I always gave him commercial dog biscuits then. Now he is doing very well, I have to be careful not to give him anything with yeast in it. So I bought a dehydrator and do his snack such as dried beef, dried lamb, dried fish. I bake him also biscuits.
I am not sure about washing the dog twice a week, I thought dog can be washed every two weeks, otherwise the skin will be too dry.
