This morning around quarter to 5 I kept hearing water running, I thought it was raining, or the pump on our swamp cooler draining again. I went back to sleep then the alarm went off time to wake up hubby, who last night fell asleep on the floor in our living room. I got half way down the hall, stepped into a river of water, I kept on sloshing though, then looked at our aquarium, the seal had broken, and it drained halfwaly into the living room (stopped before it reached my hubby, that would have been hilarious) down the hall, into the entry way. The funny thing is it is only a 10 gallon tank with Fancy Goldfish in it, I couldn't believe how much water it actually holds. So here me and my hubby are cleaning up water and trying to save these fish that were at the end of their ropes. We finally put them in a plastic tea pitcher, and sucked up all the water, but what a mess that was. Now they are in their new tank, a have survived their tramatic ordeal. And thank goodness we caught them early, I can just see me trying to explain to my son why the fishes weren't allowed to have water in their tank. That would have been more tramatic on mommy here. LOL

Oh my!
We used to keep fish and had several aquariums (although ours were 45 gallon and 55 gallon). Imagine when you get a leak in one of those??

My day hasn't gotten any better, I deliver the afternoon paper for my job, well the presses broke, so my papers were late, then when I dropped my kids off at my folks, my brother noticed I had a chunk out of my tire and couldn't drive on it. My 2 hour job took me 4 hours to complete today. Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday.

Poor JoAnn--In life such things happen!! Thats why life is so exciting. Glad that the fish are okay

JoAnn, wouldn't it be nice to be able to go back to bed, pull the covers up over your head, and just stay there until the day is through? Sometimes it just isn't worth the trouble of getting up! Hope the rest of the week is good to you, you deserve it after that.
