I have an eye disorder called Kerotoconus (Sp), it is the thinning and breaking of the Cornea tissue. Which results in scarring of the eye, which has made me absoulutely blind in my left eye, and in an extreme amount of discomfort. Anyways, the only cure is a Cornea transplant, without this sounding morbid, I found out today that I am now number 2 on the list and will be going in for surgery sometime in the next few weeks. Since I consider all of you my buddies, I thought I would share this with you. I am really nervous about this though.

Hope all goes well! I'll keep you in my thoughts for a successful surgery and a quick recovery.

I have to ask; is this something genetic or brought on by something else? I ask because I have a very good friend who is blind in one eye (just recently) and this was brought on by stress. His eye started tearing and the end result was a burst blood vessel which has left him permanently blind in one eye.
I symphathize with you; I never understood how valuable both eyes are and how critical peripheal vision is until he shared with me what it is like and how frustrating. Best of luck and quick recovery.
