Evening all,

Not sure if anybody else’s boxer has done this but willow has developed a voice after 3 1/2 years. She would bark, and make noises when she played but nothing else until yesterday....
Willow has been a little more protective of us since I had my skin daughter nearly two years ago, but still no voice, then yesterday for no reason she jumped up at the window and started barking, my daughter found this hilarious. Since then she's has barked at the postman, the paperboy and passers by. Any body know why?

 don't know why she hasn't used it until now but at least you know your baby has a voice! Now you will wonder why you ever missed her voice in the first place ;)

I blame my best friend for finding Abbie's voice. Abbie was about 12 weeks old and we were in the car. I was driving, my friend in the passenger seat and Abbie in the back seat. Abbie was trying to come up front (before her car harness would fit her) and my friend told her to get in the back. Abbie looked up ay her and woo wooed for the first time! They sat there and made noises and wooed at each other for a good 5 minutes, I had to pull over because I was laughing so hard. Abbie (or my friend for that matter) hasn't shut up since...

Max rarely talks. My husband and I were actually both woooo wooooing at him tonight trying to get him to talk back. He honestly looked at us like we are idiots :) Hubby said he actually woofed yesterday and ran to the front window. Then ran back to hubby and woofed again until Seth went and made sure there was nothing there. Honestly, I guess I should be grateful that he's not really vocal. At least he barks when it's appropriate. My dad's boxer wooo wooos though and I've always loved the sound.

Koda only vocalizes when playing with his sister or cousins, when he's frustrated cuz we aren't playing with him, or if something strange is going on outside and we aren't addressing it. This came in handy a couple nights ago. On Wednesday my husband was followed home by a strange white car which kinda freaked us out. Then on Thursday night we were woken up by Koda barking and growling at the front entrance to the house. When DH looked out the peep hole the same strange car was pulling away from the front of our house! Needless to say Koda got LOTS of treats that night for alerting us that something was wrong.
