Ok guys, I just bought a new wool winter jacket. And I know what Boxer hair does in a wool jacket, so I have done my best to avoid rubbing, holding, hugging or snuggling my precious twosome while in my new jacket. So all is well until I go for a ride in my BF's truck (in a space usually just used by the pups as I drive the car) and forget all about it until I get to work and notice the mass of hair literally stuck into my new jacket. Oh it was so much, I had to laugh so hard!!
So I went and bought a big sticky lint roller and it did work to a point. But you know boxer hairs, they like to stick in like quills and only come out by tweezers ha ha. Thought I would share my sad humour with you all this morning. Anyone out there have any miracle solutions for my baby's left behind hairs?
I could really just kick myself for sitting in "their" spot to begin with. Bad momma!!
Take care out there!!

i was wondering the same exact thing! my backseat is horrrrendous (cloth seats)!! we take mark's car everywhere now (leather seats with coushins for asia in the back) because i am so embarressed by mine! i have slobbery kisses leftover on the two back windows (which i'm okay with to a certain point) and instead of a cloth backseat, i have a boxer hair backseat. it's so nasty and i've done everything i can think of to try and get it off but nothing has worked...

like you said, the lint roller works to a certain extent, but those darn boxer hairs are just like magnets to anything and everything :)

I soooo laugh when people say.."oh how nice that boxers don't shed"!! Just because they have short hair doesn't mean they don't shed! I'm not sure either what the best method is for cleaning it up besides vacuming and a sticky roller! The hairs are AWFUL when they weave into all material, including the sofa! I have excema and often those little fine "quills" stick into my skin and WOW does that ever hurt!!
Not only do we carry our furbabies in our hearts everywhere we go...half their body hair is attached to our clothing and we have no choice but to take them everywhere!!

Isn't that the truth. I especially love the word "weave". That is just it!!

Got to love all that hair! I swear my baby should be bald my now as much hair as she leaves everywhere! I have found that a spray of static guard before vacuuming really helps to unstick the hair.

Sounds like my pickup truck...
Nose prints on the windshield, and slobber inside and outside the passenger window where she hangs her head out. Also, a chewed up gear shift just to remind me not to leave her in the truck for too long.

and oh yeah... boxers do shed!!! Everytime I sweep the house I have a pile of boxer fur about the same size as my boxer!

LOL lots of fun though!

Magic's Car

I told all my friends and family that my car was Magic's and that she let me drive it. The back seat was always in a constant state of boxer hair, nose prints and her doggie smell. After I lost Magic, I didn't want to vacuum her hair out of my car for the longest time. It felt like, if I did, I would be erasing her. It is funny how those somewhat irritating things that we do as dog owners seem so small when our babies are no longer with us. Now, I'd do anything to have the chance to fuss over her hairs and nose prints once again, even if it were only for 1 hour. As you can see, I miss her so much.

I totally understand how you feel. Even though the hair on the coat/backseat of the car can be an annoyance it is part of your baby. And any memory of your sweet furbaby would trigger that kind of reaction. Its always the little things and its completely understandable. Take care.

 I just don't know how the hair manages to get EVERYWHERE. I go to school.. find it in my bookbag.. open my book, and what do you know?? yup, hair in between the pages.. how?

I can relate about not wanting to get rid of the hairs once a beloved pet crosses the bridge. When Princess passed away, that night I sat in my car with tweezers picking up all the hair I can find, all the while I couldn't stop crying :( I put them in a small little platic bag and placed it in her box along with her ashes, her favorite toy, and her collar and tags.. I really miss her. I shouldn't call it her box, it's her urn, but it's more like a wooden box with her picture outside.

Boy can I relate to all of the above. After 6 months I still find the odd Dakota hair and it makes me stop and smile. I swore after she had gone that I would never complain about boxer hair ever again...so far I'm good to go, no complaining :) actually I love to find Riley & Kirra's hair where it just shouldn't be LOL - how does that happen?? I found a few hair on the bottom shelf of my fridge and I know THEY don't go in there - oh the things we put up with for our babies! :)
