Layla is about 45 pounds and a year old, I know you are supposed to see her back ribs but you can see all of hers. I am feeding her Canidea 1 1/2 cups 2x's a day. Any suggestions of what else I can giver her? I mix in Yogurt about every other day and give her veggies from time to time but don't know what else I can give her that will give her a few extra pounds.
Thanks for your help!!!

How tall is Layla? My girl is a year and a half and 53 lbs so I think your girl will easily catch up to that. Now my girl is very active but she is getting 2 cups twice a day and I feed TW Bison and I add some meat, usually organ meats, or chicken, plus yogurt and an egg a couple of times a week. It is only in the last month or so that i am not hearing how "skinny" she is. But my vet has told me all along that her weight is good and lean is good so I would not worry too much :)

If youthink she is too skinny, why not just add a little bit more food to her meals. Another 1/4 cup or so. Just becareful, it is harder to take off than to put it on.

When we 1st rescued Billy he needed building up. The vet suggested that we feed him 1 and a half cups of kibble with a half cup size meatball. I got lean beef mince, mixed in some olive oil, some shredded cheese and also grated in some carrot. He loved it. He is a nice weight now (60lbs), so he gets 1 cup kibble (canadae) and 1 meatball twice a day.

I make the meatballs up one a month and freeze what I don't need for the 1st few days.

I know that it is harder to take off that is why I don't want to do anything to dramatic, just a couple pounds. Thanks for everyones help!!!
