What could be bothering him?

It seems that lately cash has been paying more attention to his bum. He'll be laying there and then all of a sudden as if something has bitten him he will try to lick his bum (which he cant really reach). He's not trying to drag it on the ground like I have seen dogs do which usually means their anal glands need to be released. He doesnt have fleas and there it doesnt look like there is something abnormal about it so Im not sure what it is. I am thinking I should take hime to the vet but I wanted to know if anyone one else has had this issue with their fur baby.

I would take him. Dh noticed that Apollo's pee flow wasn't as strong, so I took him and he had an infection. I seriously wouldn't have noticed(course I don't have that part) for at least another 2 weeks. You never know, he may have scooted bum across something that has it irritated, but it's always best to be on the safe side.

Could have impacted anal glands still, my last dog didn't scoot along the floor when hers were impacted
