Boxer Booster
My puppy is 3 1/2 months old and is still having accidents in the house. I take her out right after she eats, if she has been playing a lot, when she wakes up. Yesterday she had two accidents. When she was about 2 1/2 months, she went about a week with no accidents and I was taking her out the same amount I am now. I started bell training about two weeks ago but she still has not caught on. What am I doing wrong here? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I have a proper cleaner to get rid of the smell so that is not the problem. Am I expecting too much of her? I can understand that but what confuses me is the fact that she did so well at one point, she even waited at the door last week. What has gone wrong? An example of her last accident (about 20 mins. ago) I had taken her out less than 30 mins before and she had not been active. Please help!!!!

Bingo --- we have a winner :D

She is only 3-1/2 months old. She is still very much a baby Boxer. She will be a baby Boxer for a while. You have only had her a few short weeks. Just keep taking her outside often. Praise her for going potty outside. Make outside as much fun as inside. And just be consistant. It will come in time.

I think you're doing the right things, and I agree with Christina: just keep consistent. One other thing I might mention if applicable, if you feel like she starts peeing WAY too often and not much is coming out, it might be a good idea to get her checked for a Urinary Tract Infection. Although Lael didn't have a UTI, I don't think it's uncommon for puppies.

Good Luck! :) Don't be discouraged... housetraining isn't easy.
