i have read that boxers can have a wet(many wrinkles on face) or dry, less wrinkles, appearance. my dag is about six months old and he looks to have a longer than usual face. i am wondering when the wrinkles start to show?also when does their nose get the up-turned look? thanks for any comments, ann

It depends on the lines, Boxer heads go through a lot of changes until they're done growing (which can be anywhere for 1-3 years of age....)

My two are very different. Maggie was pretty unwrinkled when she came here as a pup. She has since (now 1 year old) grown jowlier and has many wrinkles on her jowls and face, and is growing more boxer-like in the face all the time. She's always had the upturned nose.

Susie is 2 years old (white) and has the smoothest face I've ever seen. Not a wrinkle on it and she doesn't have much jowl either. Her cheeks are pretty tight and don't hang much. She does have the jagged lip, which Maggie doesn't (or hasn't developed yet).

I guess it depends on the dog and the line, as Julie said.
