HELLO everyone
I am online today for the first time in 4 weeks! How I've missed you all!
Thanks to those who left birthday wishes for me. My birthday went virtually un-noticed because of sorting the house etc, but my parents came to stay for a night and that was nice to see them.
So the house is great - the girls rooms are all done. The dogs are loving the big garden and the new walks. Last summer we were thinking that Billy was on his last legs, but he seems to have been rejuvenated since we moved here - he LOVES it.
However, last week we took him to the vet because we had noticed he was drinking alot and wee-ing alot. We had to get up about 3 times in the night to let him out. The vet gave him some antibiotics as he seems to have a kidney infection. He's had the tablets for a couple of days now and is a whole lot better. I have to take him back next week with a urine sample so they can check he's ok - I'm sure he is.
Well it's Christmas on Saturday and I have workmen in fitting a kitchen! Well at least they're going to get the ovens, hob and dishwasher in and then the cupboards will have to wait til after new year.
The fireplace is in but doesn't work! We tried to light a fire but the smoke just billows into the room and doesn't go up the chimney! We think the hole up the pipe is too narrow in relation to the size of the fireplace - of course the fire shop have their voicemail on and aren't returning calls! I'm going to town tomorrow to buy a big bouquet of flowers to display in the fireplace over Christmas so it doesn't look like just a hole in the wall!
So I think that's my news - it's nice to be back - it'll take me days to catch up on all that I've missed.
