My cat has irritable bowel disease and had been eating Wellness for the past nearly 4 years. It was the only thing that brought her out of her first 4 years of life battle with chronic diarrhea. About 2.5 months ago her symptoms returned with a vengeance. Not only had her diarrhea returned but she was seemingly more hungry than usual and drinking more water. I went into panic mode and thought the worst. Renal issues, diabetes, stress induced symptoms from the puppy, etc... I visited multiple cat forums and kept hearing similar stories from other owners feeding Wellness. Hoping to get lucky and taking a chance I switched her to Evo. Sorry for the visual but..... The explosive diarrhea slightly subsided and the multiple trips to the litter box every day were lessened but the stool still didn't have any form. Worst than soft serve but not as messy as when on the recent Wellness. This morning after 2 months of the Evo she was able to produce a poo that had a slight bit of form to it. Still no where near perfect but far better than it had been. Then I read about the Wellness recall which happened yesterday. Information on the Voluntary Wellness Canned Cat Recall Hopefully things continue to go our way and Silver recovers from this and I am glad I switched foods when I did so more damage wasn't done.
