I have been feeding RAW for over a week now and I am very pleased with the results i have seen so far. Been feeding chicken leg quarters for the first week and the dogs seem to really enjoy crunching the bones. I have already noticed a huge change in the dogs coats and stool sizes? Also the new diet seems to be the magic bullet when it came to Fuego's colitis, his poop has never been so firm and small. I gave gizzards/offal for the first time yesterday with their evening meal. I do have a few questions regarding the feeding of offal tho. 1) Can i feed an entire meal of gizzards or should i mix with RMBs and/or muscle meat? 2) Can i feed gizzards with every meal in small amounts. I have found that a chicken leg quarter is a bit under one pound anywhere from 10-13 oz. Is it possible to finish the meal with 6-3 oz. of gizzards? I have also noticed that one of my dogs seems to regurgitate some of his meal after he eats it but then he will eat it again. . . is this something to be concerned about? thanks for any and all input

Glad to hear its going well!

We don't feed full meal of offal because Luke can not handle it. Some dogs have a hard time with it. I only put little pieces of liver, bigger pieces of heart and a small piece of kidney in with their RMB's. I don't put it in every meal. I only give it to them about once a week.

Sometimes when Luke eats too fast (gulps a bone without chewing it properly) he will throw it back up. He normally eats it again after (eeeewwww!) I think its normal for them to do that. I don't like them eating their vomit but if they are eating and they regurgitate the same food that I don't mind it.

Keep us posted! I always love hearing stories about how successful people are with the raw diet esp. with dogs who have colitis.
