I was still having a rough time feeding Gauge and he would vomit his food in the early morning and than I would be scared to feed him in the am because his tummy would twist. Well I finally met with the vet that did his surgery today and we started to work things out. First of all the surgery took longer because the muscles around his stomach are suspose to be elastic but his were not any more. This is due to more bloating than we knew about. She said that they would go back to elastic slowly, like us having a baby. We figured out that while Gauge was up and awake his body would function normally but when he would relax as in go to bed after 4hrs he would vomit because the food would not go through the pylorus(opening to the small intestine). So the first measure of combat is to give some more meds to get things working and no food after 6pm. Also lots of walking before bed to get things moving. Next we are waiting for the stomach test result to see about what to feed him. She was sugguesting home cook. Every time he would vomit it would be the rice from the I/D food but I have to wait to change the food unitl we know for sure.
I am praying that this works. I do not like seeing my little guy suffer.
