Boxer Pal
I have never posted here but I've read all of your posts and have learned very much.
We lost our baby boy Diesel this past Sunday. He started to get ill about a week and a half before that. The vet said it was anemia. He had no energy and was very lethargic. It turns out that the anemia was just a sympton of an aggressive cancer in his spleen and liver. He collapsed Sunday. We rushed him to the vet. She said he was in pain. We made the hardest decision ever and eased his pain the only way we could. He was three months shy of his fourth birthday.
You were my first dog buddy. Just 8 weeks when we brought you home. You were fascinated by the windshield wipers in the car. You were more than a dog. You were a clown. You were our friend. You were the biggest personality in the house. Your name was so suiting because you were like a huge freight train. I never understood how you figured out that if you hit the doorstop behind the door the noise would get us out of bed so you could go outside. You made a kingsize bed into a twin. I would not have changed it for the world.
You were very heavy when I carried you out of the house and into the vets. But I would have carried you forever. I guess I did. To the bridge.
Your mom and I miss you so much. Your sister doesn't understand.
We'll meet again.
