My husband's best friend had to move back in with his dad and couldnt take his dog with him, so we've agreed to take her until he can move out again (a year or so). I am glad to help out, but i am very overwhelmed right now. Its a huge difference having 3 dogs in the house.

Page is a 3 yr old Pit who is good for the most part, but everyone is playing very rough, trying to establish a hierarchy. Wish us luck that things calm down a little!

They will all work it out. Good luck and keep us posted! That is very generous of you to help your friend out and I bet he's glad that you are doing it!

How very kind of you to take his baby in for him, especially this time of the year!! I can just imagine the vocals going on with all 3 of them while establishing their rank!! Best of luck with the arrangements! :)

I have to commend you for taking in your friend's dog. We've owned three dogs for years, and I must admit, it does get pretty noisy around here with all the vocal playing. Things should settle down a bit once ranks are established, and the novelty of the new addition wears off. His owner is so lucky to have you as a true friend - I don't know what we would do if we suddenly found ourselves displaced ~ Cathy

well things have been really tense around here the last few days. Not any one dog is going out of their way to establish 'alpha' which is posing problems. Last night they got into it a little and we let it go because they were growling and baring teeth but not biting. Roxie our 1 year old has started pooping in her crate during the day though. (she did this when we first got her, until we got baxter)

Anyone have any suggestions? we've been trying to give her special attention, but i am reliving the pooping nightmare that i thought was cured.

Perhaps Roxie is stressed out w/ the new addition. Where is Page kept when you are not home? If they are in the same room, maybe they should be in separate rooms?
