LILYLARUE

Boxer Insane
As far as the crating goes.....she's only has bad memories of it and it is a negative experience at that.

I would ignore the crate as much as possible for a while and then re-introduce it with positive training. Let her re-associate it with new, positive experiences. I think to force her to use it, no matter for how long, is only reaffirming the negative connoctation to it.

I have/has this problem with both my rescues. Buster took no time at all but haven't tried the crate again with him cause he is a good boy and has full reign of the house. Bella still won't stay in one longer than 10 minutes before the anxiety kicks in. I am lucky enough to take my dogs to work, so we can take the re-training slow and at her pace. She has many issues to overcome, so I don't rush anything with her or work on more than one at a time.

Just be patient and don't push the issue if you don't have to right away. Dogs don't easily forget unless they can replace the bad memories with good ones.
