Brutis and Bama's Mommy

I took Bama to the vet yesterday, he has a sore on his face for two weeks and it was not getting better. The vet said it may be a tumor so they took samples and sent it to the lab. I hate waiting for the results, it seems like they are going to do his last. I am sure the vet is tired of me. I have called and gone to their office in person. I just want them to say it is nothing and to continue to put the cream on and it will go away. Thank you for letting me whine.

Did the vet say it might be a histiocytoma? Gabbie had one removed from her shoulder in February. The biopsy was negative and she is absolutely fine! I hope that all goes well with Bama too! Gabbie & Cassie send Bama lots of boxer hugs & kisses!

This same thing happened to Nino not to long ago. Our vet thought the same thing and it turned out to be nothing. It just took a long time to heal because Nino kept scratching at it. Hope your news is good.

Yea the vet just called and said it was a histiocytoma and that it should go away on its own, if not we could have it removed.
Thank you for your good thougts, I hope it goes away and he does not have to have surgery. I know that there is something that they put dogs under with that is not good for boxers. Does anyone know what that is so if it comes to surgery I can discuss that with my vet.

I just read this post for the first time.
So first of all, it must have been terrible for you to wait for the results. but what a relief that it's nothing serious!

Hugs and slobbers from Copper and Rebelle.
Hoping Bama feels better soon.

We are here and most of us have been in your shoes. I had a histiocytoma from my Bridget about 4 years ago and remember how LONG the wait seemed. My Darcy had one removed about 1 1/2 years ago. I am now waiting on the biopsy taken for my Bridget dealing with her inflamed stomach. Luckily the vet could almost guarantee that this was not cancer. Keep us posted.
