Super Boxer
I've been MIA for a year! Been so busy with kids ect. So when this head tremor started, I quickly video-d it, and came straight back here! Thank goodness I had lots and lots of prior experience on Boxer World!!

So the head tremor.......Cassius was outside sunning him self, when my baby screamed in delight, and woke him from his snooze. He immediately started bobbing his head up and down, so I rushed the baby in, and plopped her (gently) in her pack n play (hence the loud crying you hear in the vid), and rushed to grab my camera. The whole episode lasted maybe 15 seconds or so, and once I took him inside he seemed fine. I've since done some research and am some what relieved that this type of thing tends to be harmless, and more disturbing to the owner then to the bobbing boxer. I am still going to get him to the vet ASAP for a blood draw, and full examination~ Here is the vid, let me know what you think.

Luke use to have them all the time. We switched his diet to raw and he hasn't had one for 3 years. Now we have our rescue Leia that we got in July. She is having them now too. But she is on the same raw food as Luke. I read alot of the same articles saying that it is common in these breeds and more upsetting for us than them. I give Leia a spoonful of peanut butter. It usually stops it straight away.

Your boy Cassius is so beautiful!

Wow! I have totally learned something new about the boxer breed. I had no idea they were prone to head tremors. Thank goodness most cases aren't painful or harmful to them.

I feel your pain!! It's so difficult to watch, but the good thing with Tyson's is they seem to be decreasing in not only frequency, but also intensity. It just blows my mind that it seems that this is so common and nothing is really known. Be sure to bring the video with you. The neurologist I saw today actually requested a copy of it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!

I felt awful when I watched the video of Cassius...it's so sad :( Have to agree it's much harder on us to watch our babies go through something like this. I'm thinking of Cassius and your family, please keep us updated.

Sending extra kisses for Cassius ~~~~~~~

It is quite disturbing ,the video, I can see why it would upset you to see him like this. Looking forward to your update. He is such a beautiful baby!

Austin also used to get them until I changed his food. He hasn't had one in over four years. Only he would shake his head like he was saying no. He's getting them again now from the medication he's on after surgery, but hopefully in a few days they will be over. I hate it.
