Why do family members come to your house, critizes your boxer and disturb your house. I know my boxer isn't perfect(well in my eyes she is) she loves every one and gets super excited and then the guest make stupid comments. I didn't ask them to come over, this is my house, my dog(which I rather spend time with) GO HOME!!!! Sorry had to vent, anyone else having a wonderful holiday. Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Yeah tell me about it. People expect me to keep Aasha crated up the whole time their here. Yeah right, like I'm going to do that. This is his house! Happy Thanksgiving to you as well! :)

I tell people first thing when they come over that we are very much so not going to turn our household on its ear to accomodate the people who visit us. I have two human children aside from my fur-baby and the hubby and I have a very good thing going when all three are happy as clams and if something we do isnt your cup-o-tea then I guess you had better find your car keys ;)
I have very little patience for un-invited houseguests ... sometimes even the invited ones.

My two oldest sisters could have stayed home, if you ask me. After too much wine they took to psycoanalizing why we have so many dogs. I am apparently compensating for not being able to bear children. Keep in mind 6 dogs were my husbands idea. He HAS three children. Also my husband has a good job so we can afford kids and dogs. No one is asking my sisters to help fed or pick up poop so what the H*@@.

What would the holidays be without family drama.

I tell anyone who comes to my houseto be prepared for the attention Splash is going to give them. My parents are not dog people but I can honestly say that they love Splash now becasue they are used to him. He runs around and shows off for them. But I agree...you shouldn't have to change your routine for anyone. If they don't like it they dont have to visit.

Completely Boxer Crazy
I am very particular about who I invite to my house. In fact, I don't believe that I've ever had a non-dog owner(current or past) in my house. In fact I had a friend(who I love dearly) pop over(unannounced) to drop something off at my house a couple of weeks ago, and I wouldn't invite her in. It bothered me at the time and has ever since, but, after reading this thread I conciously know why now. She doesn't care for dogs, and I have two large lap dogs.:) So, thank you for explaining why I don't like certain people coming over(and more importantly why I don't invite certain people over). My MIL must be the best guest? because every time she comes over, Rocky pees on her(he loves her):)

I have a few friends that don't come to my house as often as they used to because of ABBY. They dare not say or admit to me that she is the specific reason, but if it is for her sake, then fine. This is HER home too, not theirs.
