Tagsmom
Boxer Booster
I am feeding all raw to Tag. I need some good recipes or ideas for treats that I can use that don't have to be refrigerated. I am looking for I guess what would be called "training treats". Something to give to her when she comes back in from outside going potty, etc.
For show training, I use a "bait" which is beef (steak or roast) cut into thin strips, simmered (about 2 1/2 hours in beef broth, worcestershire sauce, and garlic), and then put in the dehydrator for about 1 1/2 hours. I don't want to use this same thing for regular treats so that it will be something special for showing only.
She loves almonds. Are they toxic to dogs??? Nothing I am reading is really telling me they are. I trust all of you here to tell me if they are (and, of course, provide links
I don't know if I could give small kibble treats just maybe 15-20 or so per day for going out to go potty and for normal good behavior (walking nice on leash, tricks, etc.)
Looking for something compatible with raw diet, with no grain, no refrigeration need, comes in/can be made to small pieces. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
