Indy's mom
Boxer Insane
A friend of mine came over to borrow something and she brought along her little boy Luke who is just over a year old. Luke's grandparents have a long haired dachshund whom he adores and he has transferred that affection to every dog. Absolutely no fear at all.
It was a hoot! They really were eye to eye but Luke kept crouching down as though Indy was an itsy-bitsy dog. So Indy would bend his neck down to reach Luke. Cracked us all up. Indy not normally a licker, kisser. But he sure made an exception with Luke! I think like most children, he must have tasted pretty good. Luke's mom just laughed and laughed as Indy would lick Luke and Luke would lick back. yucky, yucky, yucky Luke giggled and giggled, gosh there is nothing quite so wonderful as the sound of a happy child. They followed each other around the house for an hour or so. If Indy would wander off Luke would follow. If Luke would go somewhere, he had Indy as his faithful shadow. So much fun.
When Luke's mom had the audacity to take him home, Indy watched out the window. I'm sure he thought he would come back. He waited for the longest time. Finally gave a big boxer sigh, you're all familiar with the one and took a nice long nap.
I think they wore each other out.
Not bad for a boy who doesn't live with a dog, or a dog who doesn't live with a boy. In all it was a wonderful afternoon!
