I usually mix some dog mince in with their kibble each meal but this morning didn't have any out defrosted and they refused to eat it.
I can't believe they did not touch it for over 2 hours until I just defrosted and cooked some in the microwave and added it.
Have I now made a rod for my own back, probably :o

Oh goodness! What are you thinking not putting the dog mince in the kibble ! You're not alone with having a diva boxer...Rolen is quite the diva when he wants to be as well. I started adding yogurt to his food and then tried not to and he wouldn't eat his food. It was time to switch the brand, so I started adding a little bit of the new food and he forgot all about the yogurt! :) Silly dogs!

yep you have spoilt them! ;)

Can I just ask do you just leave out the meat overnight to defrost? I used to feed this and cook it off slighly, but may start to use it raw just to pack out his meals a bit. As is quite expensive to feed him pouches at 74p each

Yup I get it out the night before and get out enough for 3 dogs breakfast & dinner.
I do cook it though but don't think I will anymore becaue I've cut down the amount they have. I was advised not to mix it raw in their kibble if it made up 1/3 of their meal (if I remember rightly) which it did.

I mix some raw mince in with Billy's kibble.
I buy a 5lb chunk of lean beef mince and make lots of 1/2 cup size meatballs, I wrap these individually and freeze them keeping out 3 days worth. I leave them out of the freezer overnight to defrost. He LOVES them. This is my way of gradually moving onto raw, I don't eat meat so this was a huge step for me!!
