Ok, I have no backup, but someone I know that I consider pretty reputable about foods and boxer knowledge has told me that there is some evidence that feeding Solid Gold brand foods causes liver damage/failure if fed long term over the life of the dog........has ANYONE heard or read anything like this before? I feed both Kaybie & Atreyu SG Mmillenia.

If there's actual evidence then the responsible thing for this person to do would be to share it with the FDA ;) It would be kind of nice of them to tell you what the evidence is also... If it actually exists, that's the sort of thing anyone using the food would consider rather vital, don't you think?

She told me that they were getting some paperwork together about some things about various foods and that was on there. She told me she'd give it to me once they get it together. I can't imagine this being real because I think it would have made the news if a dog food was causing this.....or at least there would be some research out there.....I'm just glad to hear that you haven't heard of this as I know you are always up on the food stuff like this gmac. Thanks for the quick response......it kind of puts my mind at ease.....

and if she does come up with something that I can have actual proof of, I will notify the FDA myself.

I stay away from Solid Gold products after reading an aricle about the CEO being in trouble for tax evasion. Nothing to do with dog food but an unethical person is anunethical person IMO. the if you don't get caught it doesnt count mentality doesn't sit well with me.
