So mad I could I can't see straight

Sorry this is gonna be kinda long, but I have to get this out before it consumes me ... It will probably make you seriously outraged to read this, but I need some advice on what to do about this
We got Ares in September of this year @ 8 weeks old. Immediately upon seeing our new baby, our neighbors across the street come rushing over and fawn all over him (well, who could blame them, but moving on) They were saying how pretty he was and how he would make pretty puppies and that we should totally breed him. Um, HELLO ?!?! He IS a puppy!! Why on earth would I be thinking about breeding my baby when I hadn't even decided what color his color should be yet??? Then, to make matters worse, they tried to coerce me into breeding him with THEIR DOG. The dog in question is a pitiful animal. She is a beautiful Pit Bull, don't get me wrong but beauty alone does not a good dog make. Adding insult to injury, this poor girl of theirs has to stay in the far rear of their backyard, behind their swimming pool and in a caged in shack. They never walk her or play with her and I have snuck over there a few times just to find they are feeding her THEIR LEFTOVER SCRAPS and rarely had clean water. I told them that there was no way I was gonna breed our baby to their dog and that if I did decide to stud him, that I wouldn't allow breeding him to anything other than another boxer that has had extensive health testing and genetic screening, the last thing I would do is introduce sickly pups into the world.
Well, needless to say as soon as I told them absolutely not, they started looking for a stud to breed their dog. Our neighbors down the street have a slew of pit bulls in their yard and I'll be darned if they didnt get them to 'loan' one of their males to them to breed. So much for me trying to keep that from happening.
Their dog was so sad looking and when she birthed those pups, she was such a skinny sickly mess I told them to take her to a vet and they just told me that she was fine and that was normal. UGHHHHHH!!! She just had 9 pups and they didnt even bother to @ least bring them all inside or @ the very least clean the 'shack' out so they didnt get hurt or worse. Well, worse happened to 2 of those pups and now they have one of them inside their home because something happened to the poor babys head and it was very swollen and infected and was weeping puss. ( worst dog owners EVER ) They gave it one of there 4 year old human sons antibiotic pills (working hard on worst parent ever too.. arent you generally supposed to give your kids the WHOLE PRESCRIBED AMOUNT?? how were there 'leftovers'?) and the swollen mass on its head 'exploded' ! Her words, not mine, she has told me all of this firsthand, like its no big deal that she let two of the pups die and one of them is in terrible shape. If all of this weren't bad enough, ALL of the animals, including the Mom are eaten up with fleas, the pups are so infested with them that they actually have open sores from so many flea bites.
I am seriously at my wits end with these people and don't know what to do now, I really feel that something has to be done about these dogs and soon.

A call to animal control might be a step. Breeding pitbulls is illegal in Ontario so I would have contacted someone the second I heard they were thinking about it to have a legal pitbull here it has to be fixed. Breeding period is a no no unless your dogs are health checked and come from reputalble lines and have all the necessary testing done. at this point if animal control won't do anything those poor puppies might die and are probabley going to be raised to be viscious anyways I would steal them and make them disappear if all else fails and make sure they were properly looked after they might already be sick enough they won't make it.

Well, that does suck! I would think about animal control or whoever would be the correct person in your area. People are such freaking idiots. I won't expound, but to just say that there was some faulty breeding with your neighbor(her personally). Good luck.

That is horrible. I would most definitely call animal control. What they have told you alone, (the fact that they denied care to the mom and pups, and let pups die), is proof that they should at least be investigated. I would call and keep calling until something is done. If you have any sympathetic, animal loving neighbors, I would have them call too. The more calls they get, the more likely someone will come out. Good luck. If I lived closer, I would try to help out.

Or call the Humane Society. Where I live, they are very involved with assessing situations "in the field" so to speak, then calling in animal control if it's determined that the animals are being neglected/abused. Pitbull in an outdor cage + breeding does not sound good to me. Several pits were siezed and turned over to the Humane Society this week here for similar situations.

First call should be to animal control. If you don't have one, find the nearest SPCA and call them. Or call both. I work for animal control and cannot tell you how many dogs we have right now in protective custody because they were seized from their owners for cruelty. Seems like some weeks we get more seizures than strays.

I would absolutly be on the phone to your local Humane Society. What you described sounds to me like neglect, and abuse. And for your neighbor to see this happening, and not seem to care.... :mad: it makes my blood boil! Those remaining pups & the mother need to be out of the "care" (I use that word lightly in this situation) of your neighbor. I'm sorry that you have to see this happening. Let us know what happens.

I asked her earlier today how the pup they keep in the house is doing and she said, "i dunno, we've not really been home much today or yesterday" I was like OMG !! you are responsible for these animals and you dont know if it is even still alive??? what kind of person can do that?? geez.
on another crappy note, they own another 'inside' dog ( yeah, inside the bathroom, thats where the poor thing lives) and a kitten ... there is no telling how frequently the litter gets changed, what with their house smelling like a comdemned kennel. I have no idea why these people bother with having 'pets' they barely keep them fed, and they give them little to no attention. The highlight of the kittens day is when her 3/4 yr old slings it around like a ragdoll, @ least it is getting attention

Why are you not calling authorities? This is 100% animal abuse.......not to be harsh, but if you are sitting back and knowingly let this happen, you are actually promoting this type of behavior. Please call someone NOW.

That is horrible. You need to call Animal Control or the humane society ASAP. It is not fair for those little pups or the mother to be in that situation. Those people should be ashamed of themselves. I hope those pups get the help they need.
