Well, it's been snowing pretty much non-stop here for the last 2 days and we've accumulated a good 6 inches in that time. Today while DH was out shoveling the snow I thought it'd be a great idea to see how Miya would react to it since it's her first real snow. Koda absolutly loves the snow and will bury himself in it, Miya's not so sure about it. She'll run around chasing us or Koda in it but isn't nearly as enthused when a snowball gets thrown in the air for her. Who has boxers that love snow and what have you gotten them to do in it?

Both of my boxers love the snow. Sydney is still pretty little but she loves to run in it and stick her nose in the snow. Atlas loves to run around in the snow and bury his nose but he does not stay out very long. He is getting older and does not like the cold that well anymore.

Riley loves the snow and likes to "help" me shovel by trying to eat the shovel fulls before they hit the ground.

Every year, though, after the first snowfall, Piper Ann takes one step out the front door, realizes its snowed and turns around and tries to get back in the house. Once she gets acclimated to the cold and the sight of it again, though, she'll consent to play in it for a little while at least . . . if she has to.

Does Miya have a coat? I've noticed that when Piper's wearing her coat, she'll stay out and play a lot longer 'cause she doesn't get as cold.

Sally loves the snow; runs and bites at it. She thinks the shovel is a play toy. To keep her distracted, I shovel and throw the snow up into the yard. She goes crazy trying to figure out where it will land and then jumps into the snow pile. It is hysterical.

Miya doesn't have a coat. I hadn't thought about that. She doesn't mind going out in it, but she won't just play in it like Koda does.

Without her coat, Piper Ann tends to plant herself in one spot and shiver like a two pound chihuahua. Plus, who doesn't love an excuse to dress up their dog ;) ?

We don't get much snow but Beau loves it when we do. He loves to romp around in it even when it's still falling. I just put his coat on him and let him go for a few minutes before I make him come inside to warm up.

chloe loves the snow, as a puppy she wasnt so thrilled but as she got older and being with maxi, who you had to literally pull inside when it snowed :), she learned to really like it. i love to make snowballs and throw them and watch her try to find them in the snow she takes finding them so seriously she sticks her head in the ground and tunnels for them when she gets her head up she is covered in snow. she also like to look up in the sky and get snow on her face then she does the boxer burn all over its so funny to watch. she also likes to catch snowballs that i throw in the air for her.
