My 4 month old male boxer is about 15 lbs right now, but everyone says he is very small for his age...any thoughts from more experienced boxer owners?

It really does depend on the individual pup. My Hurricane was only 13-14 lbs at 4 months, he was 8 lbs at three months. Except when we first brought him home, he has never been really thin either. I think he is just going to be a small boxer. Even now, he is 9 months old and only 50-55 lbs. I think he is going to be on the small side for the males. If your pup is looking a healthy weight (not too skinny/ribs hips showing etc), and is eating, drinking, going potty, playing etc normally, and unless you have any other reason to suspect something is wrong, I wouldn't worry about it. Everyone told me Hurricane was too small for his age and he has been fine. Just my opinion, though if you are worried about him of course a vet visit is in order, of for nothing else than peace of mind!

Sophie is 36 at 6 months. I have seen boxers at the dog park anywhere from adults at 50-100 LBS. My thoughts are, good food, playfull, happy....no problem! Of course...I can see Sophie's ribs and she is growing fast...now i wonder how big she will be...i thought she was a wee lass.

Laila was at the vet this week for her spay and she was only 35.9 pounds at 71/2 months!!! But she is constant energy, eats well and is happy, so I won't worry...Barbara lovicon

Thanx for the help...i think he is doing pretty well, maybe just a small boy

Sounds like it to me. My Ally just cracked 50 lbs about 6 months ago, and she's 6 years old. Minka on the other hand is 6 months old and has almost caught her (45 lbs when I dropped her off at the vet this morning for her spay).
