Boxer Pal
I have been told that this varies between boxers. i also heard that males were more susceptible to slobber than the females. is this fact or fiction?

Thanks, B.

I'm certainly no expert but since I own one of each, I thought I'd tell you about my experience. My male definitely slobbers more than my female. It cracks me up, really. He'll drink some water then stand there with big strings of water/spit dripping from his jowls down to the floor! He looks so innocent, like "what is it Mom? Why are you laughing at me?" Absolutely adorable. I guess it's easy to see I'm boxer crazy if I think slobber is adorable!! LOL Not so funny on the chenille couches but, it doesn't bother me any!

I have no idea if one slobbers more than the other but I read posts about slobbery boxers and I just don't get it because I have a 21 month old female that never slobbers. She will sometimes get a big bubble coming out of the side of her lips but that's it.

I'm curious to hear if it's more likely in one sex over the other. Maybe I just got lucky with a non slobbery one.

We call Heidi, "Bubbles" all the time! She only really drools when there is food around that she really wants to eat. Once you give her a piece of food..the bubbles begin! She's so sweet! :)

Oh, Heidi's story made me think about the drooling - even though it's by far Jake that has the slobbers all the time (he's also a BIG licker), Cleo is the one that drools right down to the floor while waiting for her cookie or vitatmin or whatever. So maybe it doesn't matter which sex they are. interesting
