Sleeping through night

I just wanted to ask if this is normal or even okay. We have an 11 week old male boxer who we have had for 4 weeks. He has started sleeping through the whole night during the work week(my wife and I both get up at 5:15 for work. On the weekends we've been waking up to take him out about that time or when he tells us he's ready and then going back to sleep. he is also doing great on the poddy training; we haven't had an accident in 2 weeks in the house. He heads to the door every time. I'm not sure how we got so lucky.

My question is: Is it okay that he is only going out that many times at night? I don't want it to hurt him.

I'm sure it's fine,if he really needed to go during the night he would either wake you or pee in his crate

Cooper was about 12 weeks I think, when he started consistently sleeping through the night without needing to go out. I felt like having a party! :)

Yeah, it's been magical; the first three weeks of getting up 3-4 times a night didn't look like they'd come to an end. Hope everyone has a great New Year's Day.

Hi

Rafa is 11 weeks old today and we currently put him to bed at 11:30pm, he is normally sleeping from about 10pm but we wake him for a quick wee before we go to bed. Then up at 3am for a wee and up again at 6:30am for a walk :)

Starting to find the last few days he is still sleeping when we come down at 3am so that is good, guessing from the above posts I might be able to go through the night pretty soon, if not now?

Also do you restrict water as the evening goes on as Rafa still drinks a fair amount all evening?

Cheers
Cliff

Sam is great- no need to go out. Sally usually needs a pee break around 12-2 a.m. Normally, I don't give them water past 9:30-9:45 p.m.

Sounds like you are lucky to me :D. Rudy will be 2 next week and she never sleeps through the night. Whether she wants to go out or if she just wants to sniff and lick somebody, she's up a couple times.
