sleeping in bed??!!

LOL! Well there have been posts about this in here before.. Somethin' about havin' our boxer goofballs sleep with us.. My two , TaTanka and Sequoia both white boxers a lil' over a year, both sleep with me.. Mind you.. the 23lb, 21yr old Tuxedo cat , SLY aka Sylvestor.. does too! And it's a BIGG kingsize wood canopy waterbed.. :rolleyes:
They have all slept w/ me since they arrived as pups. At night time? When I finally find time to be online peacefully, they start bugging me to go to bed, they will stand in front of the tv, coz they know I turn to look at it now n' then, and just stare holes in me, so I give in, and THEY put themselves to bed.. usually around 10 or so.. then I get in there, and find them HOGGING the bed, and tell 'em to "Get in your bed".. and TaTanka gets in his corner to the left of my pillow, plops his big boofy head on the corner of my pillow.. Sequoia is ALWAYS smack in the middle of the bed when I come in, MY SPOT! and she heads for her bottom corner of the bed and her own blanket.. And Sly.. well.. he is on the other side of the bed, at the foot. And trust me, NEITHER dog will go near that corner! LOL! They respect him!
Would they sleep elsewhere? Yup.. They slept in their kennels in livingroom when I was gone for 6 days.. My 84 yr old Mum took care of them, and she said they did fine, but soon as I was home, BACK to my bed!
And yeah.. some nights are restless, when one or the other decides to plop their head over my legs or something.. but I'd really miss 'em if they weren't there!
They're my constant companions... Love 'em to pieces...

Walksoftly: That kitty looks GREAT for being 21 years old!!!! What the secret??? I have 5 kitties, but they are all under the age of 7. My bed looks like yours most of the time, plus more kitties, heh!!!
I have a queen sized bed and Izzy has slept in bed since she was 4 months old. I didn't want her peeing on it when she was tiny, so she slept in her crate at night till 4 months old. She never goes in a crate now, and she is now 2. Gus, 10 month old male, is still in a crate at night and when I am not home. I don't trust him!!!! He will chew things up. He is getting a lot better though. I have let him sleep in my bed a few nights and if I take a nap and if he gets up before me, he will go downstairs and pee on the floor!! He also likes to sleep real, real close to me, to where he pushes me and then I don't have much room. Sometimes, he sleeps on top of me. So, until I can trust him, in the crate he stays. There is also not much room when both of them are in my bed. I also have a large kitty in bed too. CharlieBob is about 18 pounds and he usually sleeps near Izzy. Izzy usually sleeps at the bottom of the bed, or near my stomach, but never really touches me, just sometimes puts her head against me, but she doesn't push like Gus. She knows she is suppose to stay on HER side. Then Hillbilly sleeps on her pillow at the top of the bed. And sometimes Chloe sleeps in my face, heh. Mr. Cutie rarely sleeps in my bed, but he does come by at night to get pet and say "hi". Sometimes, Munchkin will sleep on my legs, or under the covers against my legs, but that is rare. Not sure where she sleeps in the house. I have woken up before with Izzy and 5 kitties in my bed!!! No wonder I don't have a husband or at least a boyfriend yet.... he would have to sleep on the floor, heheheh!!

Thanks for the pictures, they are adorable..my lulu is 4 1/2 months old and such a love. My husband has been away on a trip for a few weeks and when he returns he is going to find out there is not too much room left for him!!! I am so glad to hear others allow their babies to sleep with them..thanks

All 3 of mine sleep in bed with me Cooper has since he was 7 weeks old I do try and leave them in the kitchen a few nights a week so I can have a good nights sleep
