Sissy, 6 year old white girl in VA

Ok guys...I found Sissy on petfinder this afternoon. She is in a rescue home but from the write up on her it seems that they are not going to be able to treat her cancer (I am guessing they dont have the money...and she is an independent rescuer of all breeds).
I would totally take her in but I already dont have enough time for my two babies.

Please take a look and see if there is any way we can get her into a forever home, or even into a boxer foster home where we can donate and help with her cancer.

I called yesterday afternoon and left a message..yet I have heard nothing back :( I don't understand this. Very disheartening to post a boxer so desperately in need of help and then not return a call inquiring about her. So sad.

I called again and still no reply??? Anyone have any suggestions..it seems as if this girl is in desperate need ASAP. I just don't understand this *sigh*.

Talked to the foster mom.

She told me her heartworms are treatable. She says that Sissy has skin cancer, has spots on her legs and one big one (size of a silver dollar) on her butt. As far as she is concerned she thinks she should be treated, but she cannot do it for her.
She says that she is a complete love bug...she stays to herself, plays with smaller dogs but stands tall and wont play with the bigger ones. She is crate trained. I asked her how she though she would fend if left alone during the day and she said that she would probably find the nearest couch or bed and sleep all day long.
She stressed that Sissy is a BIG LOVE BUG...and just wants loving...and she would keep her if she could, but she cant.

Sissy was a backyard breeder's dog...once they felt she had done her job they took her to the pound.

I have two at my house now and one current foster. I cannot foster this girl but will see if Dianne is able to take her in. I'll call Dianne (Boxer Rescue) this afternoon and see what she says as I don't know what her situation is. I called the woman twice and never heard back from her, I am glad you finally got through!

Shannon did she say where she was being fostered? It is an 804 area code..richmond maybe? The people posting for her are in Spotsylvania which is maybe only 40 minutes away..

She didnt say, I just assumed she was in the Spotsylvania. I told her that I would be in touch and that you would probably be in touch as well. She isnt but an hour or so away...so I can go and get her. It's the foster thing that we have to figure out. I would take her in but I would need quite a few days at acclimating her to my two.
