Hello, my name is Sue and I'm from Kent in England. We have two boxers, one red&white bitch, and Brindle dog.

Just a small question, what does "flashy" mean?

I'm not an expert but Flasht has to do with the white markings, I'm sure someone else can give a better discription.

Hi Sue welacome to the board ,I'm from Scotland ,my pup is red/white but the term in USA is flashy fawn,which is our red with white paws and round the neck. I get mixed up when speaking on the board and speaking to people who live here. You will soon get used to all the differences and find this a really useful place to find out all about boxers.What I can't get used to is problems that are caused by the intense heat like not being able to walk dogs at certain times because its too hot as you know we NEVER have that problem over here!! enjoy!!!

Hi Sue,
Welcome to the board! I just recently found and joined this website and I have learned so much in the past week or so. I am so glad you asked what flashy meant because I wasn't sure as well. I checked out the pics that were suggested as well as the other sites suggested and lo and behold Buddy is a flashy fawn! Now that I know that Buddy is flashy is there a description of a flashy human female? Just kidding, I just didn't want Buddy to have one up on me. Ha Ha

Thanks to everyone for your replies.

Well now I know I have a Flashy Fawn young lady, her name is Georgie.

And Frank, well he was a rescue (decided to keep the name), he is all brindle apart from small white socks and a smudge of "white" paint on his snout.

I'm in charge of Georgie's training, we've had her from 9 weeks old and I take her training regularly every Tuesday. Fortunately the trainer is quite a boxer expect having had them himself for most of his life.

Georgie was quite a disruption to the class for the first 8 months but now she near perfect, but I still can't get her undivided attention.
