MyMaggie
Boxer Pal
Omgosh. It is so funny, but starting to take a toll on our floor and carpets!
Maggie is 6 months old, and has been doing great with potty training. Pretty much completely trained, only had an a few accidents since we got her.(Was our fault , for not taking her out to do her busniess in time.) So everything was going smoothly until a few weeks ago.. suddenly she pee's ALL over the place when Hubby comes home, or if we come home from going out. It's a daily thing. Hubby comes home, Opens the front door, Maggie comes running, Hubby BOOKS it to the back door, to open it and run out so Maggie will chase her out there. As soon as she reaches him, she flips out, all excited, jumps around, lays down, flips over onto her belly and Starts Peeing! It just squirts up all over the place, even into herself!! :/ If he makes it outside in time, she does this on the deck. If he is too slow, it is on the kitchen floor. We try to drag her out the door, still peeing!!!!!
If I hear him coming, I try to let her out right before he walks in, but if she knows he is home, she won't walk down the deck stairs. She will just whine and jump up on the door, and the window next to it (completely destroyed that screen btw) and won't stop until he comes outside and runs down the stairs so she will follow him.
We can't get mad at her, because it is too freakin funny, and she is so cute. We're not really laughing though. Since the excited peeing has started, she is also starting to have more accidents in the house, and favors a spot on the area rug in the living room. That has happened twice this week. And she did run downstairs to poo on the carpet twice, but we figured out it was likely because it is the only carpet in the house, and it is GREEN. It looks like grass. : /
. She knows to use the bell when she needs to go out, and we can usually tell when she has to go out anyways by the signals he gives off. Both incidents happened when we weren't watching her though.. I started giving her a very little bit of freedom around the house, just for a few moments at a time. Mabye she just isn't quite ready for that.
How long does this last? (The excitable urinating) I hope she grows out if it.
