Seizures?

My 8 1/2 year old female (Roxie) had a seizure this morning while we were out for our morning walk. She just fell over, became ridged, and lost control of her bladder and bowels. I thought she died! After a minute or so she got up and we slowly walked home. I took her to the vets right away, and he said it was probably a seizure, which could be caused by any number of reasons. High BP, tumors, heart problems. He said she does have a real slight heart murmor. He advised to wait and see if she has any more rather than run a battery of tests. She's acting fine now, just seems a little tired. I'm really worried though, and was wondering if this happens to other boxers her age. I would really appreciate any input or advice.

My 8 1/2 year old boxer has started to have seizures also. His first was on Christmas Day. Now he's had two this week. I took him to the vet today and they started him on Phenobarbitol. He's also having problems wetting the bed at night. I'm nervous leaving him home alone. I am having such a hard time with my boxer getting old!

I'm so sorry for you guys. Seizures must be SCARY to see. I hope everything gets better for both of you. Best wishes.

So sorry to hear your pups are having siezures :( My boy is younger but is on pheno and it really works for him-no siezures. Sometimes they have to adjust the dose. I hope your babies do well
