I just found out that my boxers have ringworms!
Chevy had biopsy for some lumps and yesterday we found out that he has ringworms. Our other boxer Louie has a lump as well and the vet suspects it's ringworms, we're going in tomorrow to do a scraping to verify. Chevy will start taking some pills which I pick up tomorrow but Louie will be given a topical cream because he only has one spot.
I understand it is extremely contageous and we have a 6 month old daughter so we need to be careful she doen't get it. Does anyone have any suggestions how to sterilize the house.

Ringworm is a fungus, not actual worms (the name notwithstanding). It's the same fungus that causes Athlete's foot - but you're right, it's quite contagious. You should probably limit the contact between your daughter and pup for the time being, and ensure that she washes her hands after any contact.

In good news, it is usually a very easily and quickly treated fungus (only a few immuno-suppressed individuals may require more aggressive treatment). Here's a short veterinary article that might be of some use to you: http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?cls=2&articleid=471

When Buddy was little, he had a spot. He had pills and cream. I got one spot on my arm from being in constant contact with it. I used his medicine and within 2 days, it was gone. It just itches really bad.
