Reverse sneezing

We have a 16 month old Boston that occasionally has reverse sneezing attacks. We have read that these are due to the Boston's short muzzle. Last night our 18 week old Boxer seemed to have a short reverse sneezing attack. I was just wondering if anyone knows whether or not Boxers do in fact have reverse sneezing attacks since they too have a short muzzle? Of course she could have just been having a nightmare.

thanks,

Tim

Jazmine does this quit often. I have noticed usually when she gets real excited or is playing. I didn't know what it was at first. Until she did it at the vets office and he told me is was a reverse sneeze, and said it was normal. I hate when she does it because it's like she can't catch her breath.

Yep, it's pretty common in Boxers (and can scare the *heck* out of you the first time it happens if you don't know what it is!) - sometimes swallowing helps stop the attacks (you can gently rub their throat until they swallow).
