Really Nervous

Kozmo is going in to be neutered this Wednesay and I am really stressing about it. He is not my first dog and not the first to be "fixed" but Kozmo seems to have severe allergic reactions and we still haven't been able to identify the source(other than food).

I have talked to my vet about Ace and that I do not want this used and she seemed ok with it and even said they will pre-treat him with a shot of benedryl.

Is there anything else I can talk to the vet about. We purposely did it this wednesday so we would have the long weekend to be home and take care of him.

Am I completely overreacting! Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Naaaww...you're not overreacting one bit!! You're a boxer mommy and that's what boxer mommies do!
Talking to your vet about Kozmo's allergies was wise, and giving him benedryl before the surgery is a good idea! I am sure there is nothing to worry about and Kozmo will be just fine. He'll be running and playing and back to his ole self again! :D Hang in there...keep us posted!

Sounds like you covered all the major issues with the vet for Kozmo's neutering, so just hang in there. It's the most natural thing in the world to be worried about your baby - we have all been there. You'll have a nice long weekend to spoil him - luck Kozmo He'll be fine. Let us know how it goes.

I don't think you are overreacting at all! I cried when I left Cisco and several times that night. (my vet keeps them overnight)
I'm sure he will be fine, you trust your vet, and the vet knows what he is doing! He'll be back home before you know it!
