Questions on Recall!

Hi again all! I have a couple of questions... My baby (Dozer) Used to follow me around outside and stay right by me constantly looking back to make sure I was still there! (very cute)!

We take him to the dog park everyday or at least let him run in the front of the apartment complex on the grass with his doggy friend's from next door! Now when we do this we take off their leashes. Dozer will not run and jump up on people walking by or in and out of the apartment building, or run out in the street even when the other dog's do! (which everyone ask's me how I taught him to do that!!!)

But even on the leash and free of it now he has been ignoring me! With and without other dog's present so I know it isn't that! Nothing work's to get his attention we even have a clicker and he doesn't care! This is only a problem outside inside he is quick to "come" and respond to his name! I am puzzled!
I he just now entering his "rebellious stage"?

Have you tried taking him to a new place so he has to concentrate and pay more attention? i generally take these two to one field and then to the woods every so often to keep them on their toes and for an extra long walk

We have tried that too!

But we live on an army base and it is very small and the tick problem here is OUT OF CONTROL! I have to check him every day after we bring him in! We have the advantage drops but they still get him! He is pretty familiar with All of the areas around here. I read the Flight response thing that tulsa dan suggested and maybe it will help to keep him on the leash! He doesn't run away from me but he just won't react to his name it is almost as if I didn't say it! But if I walk away from him he follows! It is really weird!
