I know I probably shouldn't be giving Austin treats at all since he's overweight, but he actually scratches at the fridge since the treat jar is on the microwave next to it. My question is are there any treats that are high quality but low calorie? He doesn't like any veggies or fruit, so that's really not an option. Right now I give him Science Diet Light treats, but I'm sure they're not the best. Any suggestions?

How about getting some fat-free cheese or sliced turkey? Maybe even a spoonful of fat-free yogurt? You can even buy very lowfat or fat-free bacon, sausage, or hot dogs and cook them and slice them little and freeze. Samson loves these cold treats. Not sure about # of calories, but they are usually very light. :)
