Our boxer puppy just turned one year old last week. He is the first male dog that our family has owned, so there are some things about him that I wonder about. Meaning, I wonder if they are normal occurences. My brother wants to breed him, so we of course want to make sure that his anatomy is all in working order. So, to the first of my questions - ever since he was a small puppy, Iggy's testicles has been sort of one on top of the other, instead of side by side. The vet has never made mention of it before, but I just wondered if this is a common occurence. Also, Iggy was sitting on my lap, and I was scratching inside his thigh when I felt something. I looked, and there was a large lump on the side of his penis, near the base. I immediately freaked and thought it might be a tumor, and I touched it to see what it felt like, but it just disappeared as soon as I touched it. He's gotten them again since. I asked a friend of mine who's had male dogs, and she says that that sort of thing happened to them all the time, although she didn't know what they were. So, I guess I was just wondering if these are in fact normal occurences, or if they are anything we should be worried about.
