When I first purchashed my pup from the breeder about 4 days ago, he advised me to make sure to feed her the yolk of a boiled egg at least once a week. Just wanted to make sure this was ok. If this has been answered already, Im sorry but I couldnt find it in the "Search". I am new to owning a boxer, so any other advice would help. Thanks, Kristina

It's more than OK, it's very good for her :) It doesn't even have to be a cooked egg - raw is every bit as good for dogs as it is for humans. Particularly if you're cooking the egg though, there is no need to discard the white part. It still has nutritional value for the pup.

One, or maximum two, per week though - not more. As with many things, where a little is very beneficial, an excess isn't.

Tara's breeder told me that you shouldn't feed raw egg whites until they were a least a year old. I don't recall the reason.
