Puppy Size Again!!

Hello everyone.
I just read someone's post (With Sargeant Major) and they said their dog was almost 7 months old and weighs 70 pounds. Is this big?
Striker just turned 7 months and only weighs 50 pounds. I don't know if he is small or what. (Sometimes I wished they made miniature boxers, LOL, they are soo darn cute)

ha, i feel like hagen is a runt! he just turned 8 months old and weighs 45 pounds. he actually lost a little weight when he had surgery so we are working on gaining that back

he is soooo tall though and all legs! he just went through a growth spurt. we think he is going to be very tall and long.

I don't know for sure but I think 70 for a 7 month old puppy is out of the ordinary. Winston is 58 pounds at 7 months old now and I thought that was good and about right.
I don't want Winston to grow to fast because of the problems it can cause.

YIKES! The reason I say yikes is that my male is a moose, at 1 1/2 he weighs 85lbs.
When he was 7mon 3wks he was weighed at 58lbs.
So at 7 months 70 lbs - he is going to be a real *heavy weight.*

Have you seen a Boxton Terrier? It really looks like a small Boxer but with naturally erect ears. I read a bit about it after seeing one on TV and in fact it does have (amongst other things) Boxer in its breeding.
I don't know how much Billy weighed at 7 mths but at 3.5 yrs he weighs 35Kg.

Puppies grow at different rates just like humans. However, 70 pounds at 7 months is a little on the large side. Friends of mine have a dog that was that size at 7 months, and now at 10 months he's HUGE. They had been showing him but now he's much too large by breed standard. They love him all the same tho and boy is he ever handsome!

For the record, my Rebelle is almost 9 months old and is a little over 50 pounds

Yes, a neighbor of ours has a Boston Terrier. I could see if they were related, they both have endless energy!!!!!
They are no where near as cute as our boxers!!!!!!

We have a dog encylopaedia and it definately says Boxers are in Boston Terriers - together with English Bulldog and Bull Terrier. the one I saw on TV was very yappy!!!
