I am feeding Roxy Diamond Premium. I would like to get Payton off the Iams puppy food (I know it is not good and I know that, but it was a sample provided by the vet). Is it ok to put Payton on the Diamond now with Roxy and have them both on adult food. Payton will be 10 weeks old on Friday.
I am just having a VERY hard time on feeding them and keeping them out of each others food.
I am trying to feed at just certian intervals a day and take it up 15 min after I feed them, but they dont eat! Payton loves Roxy's Diamond, and doesnt like her Iams. The breeder had the puppies on Diamond Puppy food....I guess I could do that. But I have been reading in here some puppy food is not good........I cant believe this food stuff is so complicated!

    Shaunna -

Diamond is a definite "step up" from IAMS.

That being said, Diamond is only a mid-range food at best. There are far better alternatives out there.

www.boxerworld.com/feeding has some very good information on how to choose a good dry dog food.

It is perfectly fine to put your puppy on adult food. "Puppy food" is not necessary (at best), and I would venture to guess that most puppy owners on this Forum feed their Boxers an adult formula -- if they feed kibble at all.
